Kansas victory shows the evolution of Bill Self's offensive visionKansas coach Bill Self still loves a good post-up, but he’s embraced analytics and the value in shooting a high percentage of 3s.

Game-high 24 pointsMcNeil dropped a game-high 24 points (8-12 FG, 6-10 3Pt, 2-2 FT) and added two rebounds in the loss to Kansas on Tuesday.
ImpactMcNeil got off to a red hot start, hitting his first six shots from behind the arc and posting 20 points in the first half. Things were not as easy for the Mountaineers in the second half, however, as the offense sputtered and Kansas pulled away. McNeil is averaging 11.6 points and 2.0 three-pointers per contest this season. His team will need him to shoot well throughout the season if they are going to be at their best. West Virginia will face Buffalo next Tuesday.

15 points in win over WVUGarrett put up 15 points (6-8 FG, 3-3 3Pt), three rebounds, two steals, one assist, and a block in the win over West Virginia on Tuesday.
ImpactGarrett is not know for his outside shooting, but he did knock down all three of his attempts in this one. Coach Bill Self is looking for his team to shoot more from behind the arc, so as team's sag off Garrett he may end up hoisting more triples going forward. The senior is averaging 9.4 points, 4.9 rebounds, 3.6 assists, and 1.6 steals this season. Those averages are less than what some thought coming into the season, but other players have stepped up offensively for Kansas, which may allow Garrett to show why he won Defensive Player of the Year last season. Kansas will host Texas on Jan. 2 next.

Second double-double of seasonMcCormack notched 10 points (4-9 FG, 2-2 FT), 11 rebounds, three assists, two blocks, and a steal in Tuesday's win over West Virginia.
ImpactMcCormack's 32 minutes set a season high and it was his second double-double in the last three games. Coach Bill Self has gone small quite a bit this season with McCormack not on the floor, but the team seems to be at its best when they surround the big man with shooters. It seems like his best basketball is coming down the road as he gets more comfortable and stops forcing things. Texas will be the next opponent on tap.

Notches double-double TuesdayAgbaji had a double-double in Tuesday's win over West Virginia with 11 points (4-14 FG, 3-10 3Pt), 10 rebounds, and two assists.
ImpactAgbaji has had better shooting nights, but Tuesday marked a season high in three-point attempts with 10. Coach Bill Self told his team that he wants them to shoot more three's, so double-digit attempts from deep may become more of a regularity from Agbaji going forward, especially considering he is shooting over 44 percent from behind the arc. The junior has really stepped up as an impact player for the No. 3 ranked team in the country, averaging 14.8 points, 4.7 rebounds, 2.7 three-pointers, and 2.3 assists per game. Agbaji will hope to continue to produce in the team's next game on Jan. 2 against Texas.

17 points in win over WVUWilson collected 17 points (6-14 FG, 4-10 3Pt, 1-3 FT), seven rebounds, and four assists in the win over West Virginia on Tuesday.
ImpactWilson had scored in double figures in each of the first six games of the season, before failing to do so in each of the last two contests. Tuesday's game was a good way to bounce back, as Wilson was aggressively seeking his shot from the perimeter and crashing the boards well. Coach Bill Self's plea to his team to shoot more three's could result in some added value for Wilson as a big that is shooting over 38 percent from deep so far this season.

Drains six treys in winBraun had a team-high 22 points (7-14 FG, 6-12 3Pt, 2-3 FT), seven assists, four rebounds, one steal, and a block in Tuesday's win over West Virginia.
ImpactBraun set a career high with his seven assists. He was really the catalyst for a second half shooting clinic that pushed Kansas well out in front of the Mountaineers. It was also a nice bounce back from an 0-5 performance last time out against Texas Tech. Coach Bill Self wants his players to shoot more three's, so that should fall right into Braun's wheelhouse going forward. The sophomore is averaging 11.9 points, 5.9 rebounds, 2.4 three-pointers, and 2.3 assists per game this season. Kansas does not play again until Jan. 2 against Texas.
