Connor Essegian - New career highEssegian recorded 19 points (6-12 FG, 4-6 3Pt, 3-4 FT) and four rebounds across 35 minutes during Wednesday's 73-55 loss to Maryland.
ImpactEssegian has started three consecutive games for the Badgers and should continue to do so while Max Klesmit remains sidelined with an upper body injury. The freshman has always been known to provide a scoring spark off the bench, but he's now seen 33 or more minutes in four consecutive games, which culminated in a career-high scoring total Wednesday. While his efforts weren't enough to prevent the lopsided defeat, Essegian continues to come up with key buckets when the Badgers need them most. He now leads the squad in three-pointers made on the season with 42.

Julian Reese - Efficient against BadgersReese ended with 14 points (7-8 FG, 0-1 FT), three rebounds, one assist, one block and one steal across 23 minutes during Wednesday's 73-55 win over Wisconsin.
ImpactReese appears to be heating up for the Terps, as he recently posted his best scoring effort of Big Ten play against one of the conference's toughest foes in Purdue, scoring 19 in the narrow loss. He was well on his way to breaking that against a tough, defensively-minded Badgers squad before foul trouble got in the way. The 6-9 sophomore is certainly on the right career trajectory, as he's significantly improved across the board in his second collegiate season.

Max Klesmit - Officially out WednesdayKlesmit (upper body) has been ruled out of Wisconsin's game against Maryland, per Wisconsin official Brandon Harrison.
ImpactKlesmit didn't play against Northwestern after suffering an upper body injury against Penn State a week ago. The guard, who averages 6.8 points, 2.3 rebounds and 1.5 assists will now miss his second straight game on the road against Maryland. With Klesmit out, Jordan Davis, who logged a career high 15 points starting for Klesmit in Wisconsin's last game, figures to start again for the Badgers.
