Jerome Hunter - Nearing full return Hunter (Achilles) will be fully cleared for all basketball related activities on Sept. 24, Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports reports.

Impact Hunter, who missed the entire 2023-24 season as the result of cardiac issues and an Achilles surgery, will return to a full practice workload in a couple weeks. The 6-foot-8 senior most recently appeared with the Musketeers during the 2022-23 season, averaging 7.8 points, 4.4 rebounds and 1.3 assists on 20.9 minutes per game (37 games). Hunter's status will continue to be monitored heading into the season, but this is a great sign for the senior forward.

Jerome Hunter - Cleared for non-contact work Hunter (Achilles) is cleared for non-contact work, according to Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports.

Impact Around this time last year, Hunter suffered a cardiac problem that rendered him out for Xavier's 2023-24 season. During it, he also underwent Achilles surgery, which has prolonged his physical health from being 100 percent. But according to Xavier's head coach Sean Miller, Hunter being cleared for non-contact work has resulted in him being hopeful of full contact by the fall. By getting to that stage of his physical recovery this coming autumn, he would be ready for Xavier's 2024-25 season.
