Zach Freemantle - First career triple-double Freemantle had 15 points (6-13 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 3-4 FT), 10 rebounds, 10 assists and two blocks across 39 minutes in Tuesday's 78-65 victory over Fairfield. Impact With Colby Jones (13.5 ppg, 7.0 apg) out with an ankle injury and an exploitable matchup against Fairfield on the schedule, Freemantle was able to log arguably his best career game as a Musketeer. The 6-9 forward was consistently one of the best players on the court for Xavier during his junior season in 2020-21, where he averaged 16.1 points and 8.9 rebounds. An offseason foot injury, coupled with the addition of Iowa transfer Jack Nunge to the frontcourt, made reaching those same levels of production the following season a struggle. Freemantle is now working well in tandem with Nunge and looks to be 100 percent from a health standpoint, allowing him to effectively those who bought low on the senior on draft day.
