Impact Bamba will look to avoid a repeat of Wichita State's 2023-24 season, which he sat out due to a foot injury that caused his eventual redshirt. Still, he has four years of collegiate eligibility remaining and will look to use the first to great effect, even if without a role etched in stone.

Impact Now that Bamba is healthy, he will look to begin his collegiate career in November. If the Shockers' latest game is any indication, they are expected to use him as a bench option during their 2023-24 season. If so, Bamba will have to maximize limited opportunities, like he did Sunday.

Returns to practice Bamba (foot) returned to practice Friday but hasn't been cleared to play in Sunday's exhibition against Rogers State, Taylor Eldridge of The Wichita Eagle reports.

Impact Bamba's return to practice is a good sign that he will be available for the regular-season opener against Lipscomb on Nov. 6. However, the freshman forward will likely sit out Wichita State's last exhibition match.
