Stuffs stat sheet Wednesday Austin posted 18 points (6-10 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 4-4 FT), four rebounds, one assist and three blocks across 31 minutes during Wednesday's 96-56 win over Eastern Kentucky.
Impact Brandin Cummings and Jaland Lowe turned heads with their play Wednesday, but Austin made his presence felt as well. The senior posted a season-high mark in scoring Wednesday, and this was his fourth double-digit scoring mark of the campaign. Austin has started in Pittsburgh's last two games, and that's not likely to change given how good he's looked in those two contests.

Impact Jaland Lowe and Ishmael Leggett were the best players for Pittsburgh, but the Panthers wouldn't have won this game without Austin's contributions off the bench. The senior forward has scored in double digits in three of his eight games this season.

Impact Austin has largely been a fantasy afterthought this season due to his secondary role in the offense, but the junior wing put up his best rebounding total of the season while also defending the rim with five rejections. His extra run here did at least appear to be a bit matchup-related, so this performance may not necessarily be indicative of a sudden turnaround for the fantasy playoffs.

Impact Austin was part of High Point's basketball program two seasons. The forward averaged 14.2 points and 6.7 rebounds across his 63 games (58 started) as an HPU player. But after the Panthers logged fewer than 15 wins during both of Austin's two seasons, he is expected to enroll in a different school whose basketball program has more upside.
