Returns to game Zeigler (knee) was observed back in Tuesday's game against Kentucky, Aaron Gershon of 247Sports reports.

Impact Zeigler was questionable to return after exiting with a knee injury, however, the senior was able to warm up and get back in the game for the second half.

He's currently shooting a career-low 29.6 percent from distance, and Tennessee has lost two of its last three. Zeigler will look to bounce back in another tough matchup against Kentucky on Tuesday.

Impact Zeigler is typically one of the most consistent distributors in the country, as his 7.5 apg average is tops in the SEC and fifth in the nation. That came to a grinding halt Tuesday in a tough road matchup, as the Tennessee offense was held to a season-low 43 points -- a full 21 points less than its previous season worst. Chalk this one up as an anomaly for the point guard of the nation's No. 1-ranked team, but note that the going is about to get tougher with several Final Four contenders lurking in the SEC. Zeigler will look to rebound in another road matchup against Texas on Saturday.

Impact It certainly wasn't the shooting night Zeigler was hoping for, but he was able to do a good job finding open teammates per usual. Zeigler came to Tennessee as more of a defensive specialist, but now as a senior he is going to be asked to shoulder a lot of the offensive burden, especially with Dalton Knecht no longer in the fold. The Vols will kick off the regular season on Monday against Gardner-Webb.

Impact It was a new career-high assist mark for Zeigler, who is turning up his peripheral production for a surging Tennessee team with Final Four aspirations. While the junior's scoring can be hit-or-miss at times, his career-best 5.8 apg mark is vital to the Tennessee offense. He's also been stellar defensively, recording at least one steal in each of his last seven games and averaging 3.0 spg over that span.
