Cade Harris - Two rushing scores vs. Merrimack Harris logged one reception (on three targets) for six yards during Saturday's 21-6 victory against Merrimack. He ran the ball five times for 11 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Impact As a receiver in Air Force's triple-option attack, Harris isn't expected to post many robust stat lines. However, the senior was able to do some damage on the ground in the opener, rushing for a pair of short-yardage touchdowns. The 5-foot-8 Harris posted 179 receiving yards, second most on the team, with a touchdown on five receptions last year. He added 81 yards and two touchdowns on 11 rushing attempts.

Dylan Carson - Unlikely to play Week 2 Carson (undisclosed) is injured and unlikely to play in Air Force's Week 2 matchup with San Jose State, Brent Briggeman of The Denver Gazette reports.

Impact Carson was injured in the first quarter of Air Force's Week 1 win over Merrimack and didn't return. He's now not listed on the depth chart, meaning he's unlikely to play in Week 2. The fullback logged seven carries for 14 yards before suffering his injury.

Owen Allen - Leading rusher in opener Allen had 16 rushes for 63 yards during Saturday's 21-6 victory over Merrimack.

Impact After failing to see any game action last season, Allen surprisingly led the Falcons in both rushing attempts and yards Saturday, carrying Dylan Carson, the presumed starter, 16-to-7. While it's difficult to project who'll wind up leading the Air Force backfield in a given week, the 5-foot-11 Allen seems to have at least earned himself a role going forward.

John Busha - Leads Air Force to opening win Busha was 6-for-14 passing for 71 yards during Saturday's 21-6 win against Merrimack. He also had nine rushes for 37 yards.

Impact Taking over as the starter for the 2024 season, Busha was able to do enough to lead the Falcons to a season-opening victory. While he won't put up big passing numbers in Air Force's triple-option offese, Busha should be capable of doing some damage on the ground. The junior completed 9-of-19 passes for 152 yards, no touchdowns and one interception in a backup role last season. He added 11 rushing yards with one touchdown.
