Tai Lavatai - Returns for Week 8Lavatai (ribs) was 13-for-23 passing for 96 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions during Saturday's 17-6 loss to Air Force. He also rushed three times for eight yards.
ImpactLavatai surprisingly played and finished out Saturday's game against Air Force, even though No. 2 quarterback Braxton Woodson (2-for-6 passing, 6 yards) started the game. The Midshipmen's top quarterback ultimately logged both his most passing attempts and completions of any game this season, though he also committed the first two interceptions of the campaign. Lavatai has now completed 53.3 percent of his 75 passing attempts this season for 522 yards to go along with 56 rushes for 171 yards. He'll like be Navy's top option at quarterback when the team next plays Saturday, Nov. 4 versus Temple.
