Impact The Boston College transfer now has the quarterback job to himself after Tyler Shough's transfer to Texas Tech, but it was an auspicious beginning. Although he ran in a 30-yard keeper to put the Ducks on top, the offense seemed a bit out of sorts despite putting up 31 points. Oregon gave up an early lead and allowed the Bulldogs back in the game, which isn't Brown's fault, but the offense sputtered in the second half due to sloppy possessions.

Officially named starter Brown was officially named Oregon's starting quarterback Friday, James Crepea of The Oregonian reports.

Impact Brown looked to be the lead man throughout camp following the transfer of Tyler Shough to Texas Tech and now officially holds the title of starting quarterback. The senior started during some of his time at Boston College to varying success but did finish out 2018 with a 20:9 TD:INT ratio. Aside from his brief two appearances last year with the Ducks, Brown was unable to complete 60 percent of his passes in any of his three seasons at BC.

Impact Brown is a sixth-year senior who spent the first part of his career with Boston College. With Tyler Shough no longer in the fold, Brown has a year in the system and is the best bet to start Week 1 against Fresno State.
