Jalen Virgil - Returns kick for touchdownVirgil had a 100-yard kickoff return for a touchdown in Saturday's 25-23 loss to Miami. He added one catch for six yards.
ImpactAfter Miami went on a 12-play, 76-yard drive that resulted in three points, Virgil needed about 10 seconds to score six. He fielded the Hurricane kick two yards deep in his own endzone and tore up the sideline for the highlight reel touchdown. The senior's involvement in the receiving game has been scant over the course of his career, but he's finding a way to make a difference on special teams.

Malik Williams - Hauls in TD against MiamiWilliams had five catches for 57 yards and a touchdown in Saturday's 25-23 loss to Miami.
ImpactWilliams played a massive role in the Mountaineers' fourth quarter comeback attempt, catching three straight passes on a drive that gave Appalachian State the lead with just under six minutes to play in the fourth quarter. His largest gainer was a 41-yard connection that set up his three-yard touchdown reception. He'll look to build on this chemistry with his pivot against Elon next week.
