Considered 'day-to-day' in Week 4 Georgia head coach Kirby Smart said Gilbert (personal) will be "day-to-day throughout the week" heading into Saturday's game against Kent State, Matt Howe of 247Sports.com reports. Impact Gilbert did not travel with the Bulldogs for the team's road matchup against South Carolina this past Saturday while dealing with a personal issue, though Smart did not elaborate any further on the reasons behind his absence in Week 3 against the Gamecocks. The 6-foot-5 hybrid pass catcher was targeted just twice over the first two games of the season, and he did not suit up during his first year with Georgia in 2021. If Gilbert continues to sit out in Week 4, then tight ends Oscar Delp and Brett Seither could see increased usage behind starters Brock Bowers and Darnell Washington against the Golden Flashes.
