Expected to practice this week Interim coach Spencer Danielson indicated Monday that Jeanty (lower body) is expected to return to practice this week, Ron Counts of the Idaho Statesman reports.

Impact Although Jeanty is expected back at practice, his status for Saturday's game against Utah State remains questionable. The sophomore running back missed back-to-back games with an injury, but will hopefully take the field this week. Before missing time, the 5-foot-9 ball-carrier carried the ball 60 times for 432 yards and three touchdowns (two fumbles) in his last three outings.

Impact Jeanty appears unavailable to play in Saturday's clash against the Bulldogs after suffering an apparent lower body injury last week against Wyoming. George Holani picked up the slack in his absence, totaling 20 carries for 75 yards and figures to be in line for another significant workload with Jeanty seemingly out.

The freshman's previous career-high came Week 6 against Fresno State when he rushed for 109 yards and had his only multiple-touchdown game of the season. Jeanty finishes off his 2022 campaign with 821 yards and seven touchdowns on 156 attempts.
