Impact As the primary backup to Jaxson Dart, Simmons saw far less action in this contest than he did in the season opener, when he passed for 111 yards and a touchdown. Barring injury to Dart, Simmons is unlikely to see the field much except for blowouts. Wake Forest is up next for the Rebels.

Impact Simmons was previously rehabbing his sprained UCL this summer, but the quarterback appears to be a full go for Ole Miss at this point in fall camp. Simmons, who also plays baseball in Oxford, is currently battling Walker Howard to be the primary backup to starter Jaxson Dart.
