Impact Buckhaulter left the game early against Arkansas after going down on a hard hit. Initial reactions of the injury indicated this could have been severe, but reports have downgraded the injury as the redshirt junior wide receiver seems to have avoided any spinal issues and has to go through the concussion protocol before being able to step back into the field. Carted off field Saturday Buckhaulter was carted off the field during Saturday's game against Arkansas, Creg Stephenson of AL.com reports.

Impact Buckhaulter was driven into the turf headfirst after losing his helmet, and as a result, he was carted off the field with an undisclosed diagnosis. He's very unlikely to return to this game, and if that's the case, his next chance to suit up for UAB will come against Navy on Sep. 28 following the bye week.
