Close race for QB job Sullivan and Ryan Hilinski are "neck-and-neck" in the competition for the starting quarterback job, head coach Pat Fitzgerald told the Daily Northwestern.

Impact Hilinski was among a trio of quarterbacks who struggled last season as Northwestern had some of the worst quarterback play in the nation. While Hilinski should improve based on his play at South Carolina before transferring, Northwestern may want to change the page entirely and go with Sullivan, a three-star recruit who didn't play last year and enters his sophomore season.
