Bear Bachmeier - Dealing with minor ailment Bachmeier (ankle) is dealing with a minor injury but will play in BYU's bowl game against Georgia Tech on Dec. 27, per Jay Drew of The Salt Lake Tribune.
Impact BYU offensive coordinator Aaron Roderick called the injury "not severe," and the program has already announced that he'll suit up for the Cougars' bowl game. Bachmeier was one of the better true freshman in the nation this season, tossing for 2,708 yards, 14 touchdowns and six interceptions on 64.2 percent completion. He also ran for 527 yards and 11 scores as a true dual threat. Bachmeier will look to close out the season on a high note against the Yellow Jackets.

Chase Roberts - Three receptions for 32 yards Roberts logged three receptions (on four targets) for 32 yards during Saturday's 34-7 defeat to Texas Tech.
Impact After two weeks without multiple receptions, Roberts finally logged several during the Big 12 Championship Game. BYU's loss results in the Cougars' next game being a bowl matchup scheduled for Dec. 27 against Georgia Tech. Roberts' 2025 stats include 47 receptions (on 85 targets), 745 yards (15.9 averaged per catch) and five touchdowns.

Parker Kingston - Logs 44 receiving yards, zero TDs Kingston totaled four receptions (on six targets) for 44 yards during Saturday's 34-7 defeat against Texas Tech.
Impact For 2025, Kingston's stats include 951 scrimmage yards and eight touchdowns. Only 49 more scrimmage yards and two TDs will help him increase his total digits for the categories respectively, and his last chance to grow them comes Dec. 27 against Georgia Tech in this year's Pop-Tarts Bowl.

LJ Martin - Great despite bad loss Martin totaled 19 carries for 76 yards and one touchdown and reeled in 7 of 8 targets for 31 yards during Saturday's 34-7 defeat versus Texas Tech.
Impact Martin was one of BYU's few bright spots in a loss that ultimately cost the Cougars a spot in the College Football Playoff. He logged a season-high in targets, which led to that for reception as well. The running back has scored in each of BYU's last four games, with seven touchdowns in said span. Even though Martin logged great 2023 and 2024 seasons, his 2025 campaign has been unparalleled. In this year alone, he has logged more rushing yards (1,305), receiving yards (255) and rushing touchdowns (12) than those from his first two seasons combined.

Bear Bachmeier - Logs worst game of career Bachmeier completed 16 of 27 passes for 115 yards and two interceptions during Saturday's 34-7 defeat against Texas Tech. He also had nine rushes for negative two yards.
Impact For the first time in his collegiate career, Bachmeier logged multiple touchdowns and fumbles without any touchdowns. As a result, BYU's team was the second out for the College Football Playoff. So instead of the CFP, BYU will focus on a bowl game, the Pop-Tarts Bowl. It will feature the Cougars against Georgia Tech, and Bachmeier's focus shifts to getting back on track.
