Oklahoma transfer Tawee Walker logged 19 carries Week 6 while shouldering a bigger workload in the absence of previous c0-starter Chez Mellusi, who stepped away from the program this week to focus on his rehab from lingering injuries. Meanwhile, true freshmen Darrion Dupree and Gideon Ituka both logged seven carries. With these recent developments in the depth chart, it looks like Yacamelli likely won't have as big of a workload moving forward.

Impact Wisconsin is expected to shorten its running back rotation against Purdue, and Yacamelli was expected to be a part of that after he's looked much improved in his redshirt sophomore season and leads the Badgers in yards-per-carry. However, the talented true freshman Darrion Dupree was seen warming up with the second team, indicating that he's going to get an extended look against Purdue. The Boilermakers are one of the worst run defenses in the nation, so its feasible that plenty of Wisconsin tailbacks get involved Saturday.

Part of two-back rotation Yacamelli is expected to be a part of a two-back rotation with Tawee Walker for Saturday's game against Purdue, Colten Bartholomew of the Wisconsin State Journal reports.

Impact Yacamelli is slated for more work in Saturday's game following the announcement earlier this week that Chez Mellusi would be stepping away from the program indefinitely. While Walker is expected to be the starter, Yacamelli will be involved behind him after handling just one carry last week against USC.
