Out Saturday Valdez (undisclosed) will not play Saturday versus North Texas, Justin Apodaca of Rivals.com reports.
Impact Valdez will miss his first game of the season Saturday due to an undisclosed injury. He had nine touches for 35 yards last week and won't be able to build off of that in Week 3. While it's a blow for the Red Raiders, starting running back Tahj Brooks (arm) is available.

Impact Valdez has sustained a hamstring injury shortly after making his return from a knee strain, and he will be unavailable against Oklahoma State. The redshirt-freshman running back has logged 29 snaps across three games, but he hasn't handled any carries for the Red Raiders. Valdez will have his next opportunity to return, Oct. 22, against West Virginia.
