Not expected back in 2021 Davis isn't expected to be reinstated to the South Alabama football program this fall following his indefinite suspension in February, sources familiar with the situation tell Creg... Impact Davis served as the Jaguars' top back in 2020, finishing his redshirt sophomore campaign with 674 yards and three touchdowns to go with 11 receptions for 104 yards. He was expected to head into the spring atop the depth chart, but his February arrest on drug charges seemingly leaves his future with the program in doubt. It's unclear if Davis plans to enter the transfer portal to explore his options elsewhere, or if he'll look to get back in good standing with the program. Either way, Davis isn't expected to be a factor for the Jaguars in 2021, leaving Jared Wilson, AJ Phillips, Terrion Avery and John Tank Miller to compete for the No. 1 job out of the backfield.
