Purdue Receiver Charlie Jones Makes 'Biggest Play of the Game' in Win over Florida Atlantic Purdue wide receiver Charlie Jones registered nine catches for 59 yards receiving and two touchdowns in a 28-26 win over Florida Atlantic.
Prolific in losing effort Jones recorded 11 receptions (14 targets) for 188 yards and one touchdown during Saturday's 32-29 loss to Syracuse.
Impact Jones continued to build on his early rapport with quarterback Aidan O'Connell, as he once again paced Purdue's receiving corps in both targets and yards in this losing effort Saturday. The Boilermakers' signal-caller especially locked in on the Iowa transfer in crunch time down the stretch against Syracuse, including a 55-yard touchdown reception followed by another 51-yard catch on the team's subsequent offensive series in the fourth quarter, which ended in a missed field goal.
