Hangs it up Cord (ankle) has decided to medically retire from football, Ron Counts of the Idaho Statesman reports. Impact Cord wasn't expected to be ready for spring practices after undergoing ankle surgery last offseason, and the 6-2 junior announced Monday that he wouldn't be returning to the team at all due to multiple injuries over the last few seasons. He appeared in 12 total games for Boise State during his career, going 63-for-105 for 737 passing yards, 10 touchdowns and four interceptions while tacking on 209 rushing yards and three touchdowns.
