Transitions to wideout Jenkins will make the switch from quarterback to wide receiver ahead of the 2024 season.

Impact Jenkins appeared in five games during his true freshman season, totaling 100 passing yards (13-of-19) and one interception, adding on 14 carries for 82 yards and a touchdown on the ground. The 6-foot freshman has opted to try his hand at wide receiver this upcoming season, presumably catching balls from transfer quarterback E.J. Warner.

Slow outing in relief Jenkins was 10-for-16 passing for 85 yards and one interception during Saturday's 36-31 loss to Southern Methodist.

Impact Jenkins came into the game in the second quarter Saturday after JT Daniels suffered a concussion. Jenkins did not do much, completing over 60 percent of his passes for 85 yards and a crucial interception on the final drive with a chance to win. Given Daniels has a concussion, it would not be surprising to see Jenkins start Saturday at UTSA.
