Former FSU Running Back Transfers to Rutgers, Third School In Last Four Years The former Florida State ball carrier has found a new home in New Jersey.

Lands with Rutgers Campbell will transfer to Rutgers, On3.com reports.

Impact Campbell will become the successor to star tailback Kyle Monangai in Piscataway. Campbell was highly productive in 2024 with FAU as the Owls' lead back, amassing 844 yards and 11 touchdowns on 5.1 yards-per-carry. The tailback is also a proven receiving threat, an element he added to his game this fall when he caught 40 passes for 466 yards and three scores.

Dominant in final FAU outing Campbell notched 15 rushes for 100 yards and hauled in all four targets for 118 yards and one touchdown during Saturday's 63-16 victory against Tulsa.

Impact Campbell ended his FAU career on a high note, recording a season-high 218 yards from scrimmage thanks in part of a 78-yard touchdown reception in the first quarter. He rushed for 100 yards for the third time this season and impressively added over 100 yards receiving as well. It was a stellar season for Campbell as he rushed 165 times for 844 yards and 11 touchdowns, adding 40 catches for 466 yards and three touchdowns through the air. He will now look for a new home in the offseason and after an excellent campaign he could find his way back into a Power 4 conference.

Impact Even with Zuberi Mobley exploding in Saturday's win, Campbell had a very productive outing. He received two fewer carries than Mobley but still had solid production on the ground with 61 yards and a touchdown. He continued to shine in the passing game too with four catches for a season-high 59 yards. Mobley's strong outing could lead to more of a split backfield moving forward, but Campbell's receiving upside still gives him solid value moving forward.
