Out Saturday Mathers (ankle) was ruled out for Saturday's matchup against Wyoming, per Greg Woods of The Spokane Spokesman-Review.

Impact Mathers was ruled out prior to kickoff Saturday after suffering an ankle injury during last week's loss to Oregon State. The senior tight end has been a big red zone target for the Cougars this season, catching 13 passes for 196 yards and six touchdowns through 11 games. His status for Washington State's upcoming bowl game is currently unknown.

Impact Mathers returned to the scorebook and turned in his career best game. The senior's nine-yard touchdown catch against Hawaii in the second quarter makes it four touchdowns on the season. Mathers though had not registered any numbers since Sept. 28 where he had a 14-yard touchdown catch against Boise State.
