Working at punt return Whittemore (ankle) has been able to return to practice and has been taking reps as a punt returner, per Justin Frommer of 247Sports. Impact Whittemore previously sat out the Mississippi State spring game with an injured ankle, but it appears that the sophomore is good to go for the 2024 season. The 5-foot-11 receiver has also apparently been getting work as a punt returner, opening the door for a larger role on the team. Whittemore caught 11 passes for 102 yards and a pair of touchdowns for the Bulldogs in 2023, adding 60 rushing yards and a score on the ground as well.
