Four grabs in loss Holker logged four receptions (on six targets) for 80 yards during Saturday's 25-23 loss to UNLV.
Impact While Holker was held out of the end zone for just the second time this season, he did tally at least 80 yards for the fifth time in seven games. The junior Holker now leads all FCS tight ends in both receptions (43) and yards (577) this season while adding six touchdowns. He'll look to keep rolling next week in a tough matchup vs. Air Force.

Impact After a quiet outing last week in a loss to Utah State, Holker got back on track against Boise State Saturday, hauling in seven catches, including a 33-yard, game-winning touchdown as time expired in the fourth quarter. Holker has found the end zone in five of his six games this season while ranking second on the Rams in both receptions (39) and yards (497). The junior tight end should see another sizeable workload next week in a road matchup vs. UNLV.

Likely to enter transfer portal Holker wasn't present for BYU's practice Tuesday and is expected to enter the transfer portal and leave the program, Kevin Reynolds of the Salt Lake Tribune reports.
Impact Holker won't be officially able to enter the portal until Dec. 5 and will remain on scholarship through the fall semester, but the fact that he's informed head coach Kalani Sitake of his intentions to leave the program means he's unlikely to play again in 2022, barring a change of heart. The 6-foot-5, 240-pound tight end joined the BYU program in 2018, recording no statistics that season before going on a two-year mission trip through the LDS Church. He rejoined the Cougars in 2021 and notched 14 receptions for 200 yards and one touchdown. Holker then entered 2022 as the Cougars' No. 1 tight end in spring camp, but he ended up losing targets to Isaac Rex and will presumably look to land with a program that can feature him more prominently. Through his first three games in 2022, Holker tallied nine receptions for 86 yards and a score.

Impact Holker was supposed to return to the field after being away on mission for the last two years, but a knee injury is holding him back. The junior has not been participating in scrimmages or practices due to a knee injury the team is watching, and it is unclear whether or not he will be ready for the first game of the season. Holker's fellow tight end Isaac Rex is also not 100 percent, and this leaves a significant positional gap.
