Solid day in loss to Syracuse Martinez totaled 10 rushes for 84 yards and one touchdown during Saturday's 42-38 defeat against Syracuse.
Impact After seemingly taking back the lead running back spot the hurricanes returned to a split approach with Martinez and Mark Fletcher. This loss knocks Miami out of the ACC Championship Game and likely out of playoff contention, the junior will wait out to see who the Hurricanes will play for their final game or possible games of the season.

Bulk of the work in win Martinez compiled 16 rushes for 63 yards and caught all two targets for 18 yards during Saturday's 42-14 victory against Wake Forest.
Impact With another game leading the Hurricanes in carries it looks as though Martinez has separated himself from Mark Fletcher as the top option in the backfield.

Impact After splitting reps with Mark Fletcher over the past few games Martinez got the lions share of the work as Fletcher received just four carries on the game.

Split work in win over Duke Martinez totaled 11 carries for 66 yards and reeled in all two targets for 19 yards during Saturday's 53-31 victory over Duke.
Impact Martinez again split work with Mark Fletcher both produced similarly as Martinez had 66 yards on 11 carries while Fletcher had 65 yards on 12 carries but Fletcher also added a touchdown along the way.

Leading rusher in win over FSU Martinez accrued 15 carries for 148 yards and two touchdowns and caught their only target for 21 yards during Saturday's 36-14 win against Florida State.
Impact Martinez again split backfield work with Mark Fletcher as they both got 15 carries however Martinez was far more successful racking up 148 yard to 71 for Fletcher.

Touchdown in win over Louisville Martinez notched 12 rushes for 89 yards and one touchdown during Saturday's 52-45 win versus Louisville.
Impact Martinez didn't see much work as Miami and Louisville were in a shootout all afternoon. However Martinez made the most of his touches ripping off 7.4 yards per carry and finding his way into the end zone.

Touchdown in win over Cal Martinez had 12 carries for 42 yards and one touchdown and gathered in 4 of 5 targets for 51 yards during Saturday's 39-38 victory against California.
Impact Martinez saw his workload cut into by Mark Fletcher this week as the two essentially split reps with Martinez receiving 12 carries and Fletcher receiving 11. Both backs were able to find the end zone however Fletcher nearly had double the production on the ground with 81 yards to 42 for Martinez. However Martinez was a much larger factor in the passing game out catching Fletcher four to zero.
