Impact In his first game since being benched versus Tulane, Purdie started Saturday's game and had a very inefficient outing. He failed to complete 50 percent of his passes in his third straight start and turned the ball over a season-high four times, two of which were returned for touchdowns within a three-minute span in the third quarter. It was a rough outing for the true freshman and it would not be surprising to see the 49ers turn elsewhere for Saturday's game at FAU.

Benched in fourth quarter Purdie was 5-for-12 passing for 66 yards and one interception during Thursday's 34-3 loss versus Tulane.

Impact Purdie started Thursday's game and an in inverse of last week, he was benched for Max Brown in the fourth quarter. Purdie completed just over 40 percent of his passes Thursday and after throwing a pick-six and then leading a three-and-out on the following possession, Brown came into replace him early in the fourth quarter. Brown completed just two of his 10 passes for three yards, so it's safe to say that he did not light it up. There are still massive question marks surrounding the 49ers quarterback situation, although neither of them would be particularly relevant in fantasy regardless.

Starting Thursday Purdie has been announced as Charlotte's starting quarterback for Thursday's game against Tulane, per Hunter Bailey of The Charlotte Observer.

Impact Purdie will make the start for the 49ers against Tulane after filling in for starting quarterback Max Brown in last week's game against Memphis. The freshman quarterback has performed well in his opportunities this season, throwing for 869 yards and five touchdowns to two interceptions in five games. With a solid performance against the Green Wave, one can assume Purdie may be able to lock down the starting job moving forward with Brown's less-than-stellar play.

Impact Purdie started the second half of Saturday's game after Max Brown was benched. Although Purdie out-performed Brown, he still only completed 35 percent of his passes. It's unclear what the 49ers will do at quarterback for Thursday's game versus Tulane.

Impact Purdie dealt with a hand injury leading up to the 49ers game against Memphis, but apparently the quarterback is healthy enough to play in the second half. This season, he's thrown for 717 yards, four touchdowns and one interception while completing 60.8 percent of his passes.

Underwent surgery on bye week Purdie underwent surgery on his non-throwing hand over Charlotte's bye week, Hunter Bailey of The Charlotte Observer reports.

Impact Purdie initially played through the injury against East Carolina, but got his hand operated on over the bye week. He practiced with a wrap and brace on his hand, and went through pre-game warmups and is dressed for the game. His availability, however, is unclear.

Impact Purdie did not light up the stat sheet Saturday, but he didn't have to with how well his team was running the ball. He scored a rushing touchdown himself, his first of the season, and added a season-high 206 passing yards while completing 59 percent of his passes.

Impact Purdie replaced Trexler Ivey at the start of the second half after Ivey struggled to do anything positive during the first 30 minutes of the ball game.
