Impact Trotter saw his first extended action of 2023, taking the place of Carter Bradley, who exited after aggravating his previous knee injury. If Bradley is held out of South Alabama's bowl game, expect Trotter to draw the starting nod.

Enters transfer portal Trotter has announced his decision, via his personal Twitter account, that he will enter the transfer portal.

Impact Trotter will look to take on additional opportunities with a new program next season. The 6-foot-3 junior spent four seasons with South Alabama, logging 3,477 yards (292-of-469), 24 touchdowns and nine interceptions across 27 games. Trotter will explore his options this offseason, but he has not ruled out a return to USA.

Splitting first-team reps Trotter split first-team reps with Carter Bradley in the team's first scrimmage Saturday, Creg Stephenson of AL.com reports.

Impact Trotter may have to duke it out with Bradley into the fall for the starting gig in 2022. the spot is open with Jake Bentley moving on and Trotter has more experience in the offense, seeing action in each of the last three seasons, but Bradley also has some experience under his belt while at Toledo and remains in the mix.
