Heavier volume and three TDs Vaughn rushed for 120 yards and three touchdowns on 26 carries while also reeling in two of six targets for an additional yard in Saturday's 31-23 win over Southern Illinois. Impact Vaughn saw a boost in volume in part due to Skylar Thompson going down with a non-contact leg injury which forced the Wildcats to lean more heavily on the run game. Backup Will Howard really struggled through the air which could be a recurring problem on the season. Through two games, Vaughn has back-to-back 100-yard rushing games and four total touchdowns. Kansas State will host Nevada next week.
