Back at practice Demus (knee) was a full participant in Maryland's fall camp practice Monday, Dave Revsine of Big Ten Network reports. Impact Maryland coach Mike Locksley indicated at the end of July that Demus would be ready for the team's Week 1 opener against Buffalo on Aug. 3, and his activity in fall camp seems to reinforce this expectation. The 6-foot-4 senior started out the 2021 season as one of the Big Ten's best pass catchers, hauling in 28 of his 36 targets for 18.1 yards per reception -- a mark that finished third in the conference last season --, before suffering a season-ending torn ACL in Week 5. If he returns to his pre-injury form, Demus should push fellow wideouts Rakim Jarrett and Jacob Copeland for a role as Maryland's premier receiving threat in 2022.
