Harris reached 70 rushing yards on an efficient 5.0 yards per carry. The 5-foot-10 running back saw the same amount of attempts as fellow teammate Keaton Mitchell as the two will continue to split reps as the season goes on.

Impact After leading the Pirates in rushing yards last season as a true freshman, Harris struggled on the ground against Appalachian State. Averaging only 2.8 yards per carry, the 5-foot-10 running back was able to make up for it with his 56 receiving yards. Harris had three games with over 100 rushing yards last year, so it is clear that he is capable of putting up better outings than he did Thursday. Harris will look to get back to his normal self while competing with fellow running back Keaton Mitchell for snaps this season.
