Solid in Friday's loss Warner completed 29 of 45 passes for 246 yards and two touchdowns during Friday's 27-20 loss to Memphis.

Impact Warner had a solid day in Friday's loss as he threw for over 230 yards in his sixth straight start and tossed multiple touchdowns for the fifth time this season. He made one crucial error in the game though as he lost a fumble inside the Memphis five-yard line in the third quarter with the Owls down 17-13. It was his second straight game with a lost fumble. He has a bye week next week before a favorable matchup at UAB in Week 13.

Leads win over Navy Warner completed 28 of 40 passes for 239 yards, one touchdown and one interception during Saturday's 24-10 win against Navy.

Impact Warner made his return to the field Saturday after missing the previous game due to an undisclosed injury. Although his production was not off the charts, he did enough to lead the Owls to a shocking upset win over Navy. He committed two turnovers for the fourth time this season and threw for under 250 yards for the first time since Week 4, but he had an efficient day as he completed 70 percent of his 40 pass attempts. He faces another difficult test Friday at Memphis.

Starting Saturday Warner (undisclosed) will get the start under center during Saturday's matchup with Navy, Andersen Pickard of The Rice Thresher reports.

Impact Warner will return to action in Week 10 after sitting out against UConn in Week 9. The 6-foot junior quarterback has been impressive after switching from the Temple Owls to the Rice Owls this season. Warner will look to get a 2-6 Rice program back on track this weekend.

Impact Warner, who sat out during last week's game against UConn, looks on track to make his return to the field against Navy. The 6-foot junior has been effective in his first season with the Owls, throwing for 1,573 yards (160-of-263), 10 touchdowns and nine interceptions, adding on another score on the ground. Warner will look to air the ball out against the Midshipmen if he is ultimately able to play.

Impact Warner struggled in Saturday's loss to Tulane as he threw three interceptions, his third game this season with multiple turnovers. Although he threw for 271 yards, his second most this season, his turnovers ultimately cost him a good performance and his team the win. He faces a more favorable matchup Saturday at UConn.

Productive in Saturday's win Warner was 25-for-39 passing for 347 yards and two touchdowns during Saturday's 29-27 victory over Texas-San Antonio. He also had five rushes for two yards with one touchdown.

Impact Warner had his best game of the season as he set a season-high with 347 passing yards and scored his first rushing touchdown of the season. He also threw the game-winning touchdown to Matt Sykes with four seconds remaining, earning the Owls' their first conference win of the season. He has thrown multiple touchdown passes in four of his last five games which gives him a solid floor on a weekly basis.

Two touchdowns in narrow loss Warner completed 21 of 39 passes for 254 yards and two touchdowns during Saturday's 21-20 defeat versus Charlotte. He also had four rushes for 24 yards.

Impact Warner was a bit inefficient Saturday as he completed a season-low 54 percent of his passes, however he threw for a season-high 254 yards and tossed two touchdowns for the third time in his last four games. He also did not throw an interception for the first time this season. Given how the season has gone for the Owls so far, Warner will likely be forced to throw the ball early and often which gives him a high floor, especially against weaker defenses in the AAC.

Impact Warner set a season high with 235 passing yards and tossed two touchdown passes Saturday, but he also threw two interceptions bringing him to six on the young season. It was a vast improvement on last week at Houston where he threw for just 50 yards, but it was still not a great performance. He faces a more favorable matchup Saturday versus Charlotte.

Impact Warner had an extremely rough outing Saturday as he threw for just 50 yards and threw his fourth interception of the season. He was benched for the last two drives and backup Drew Devillier led a touchdown drive at the end of the game. While Warner will almost certainly keep the starting job, it was a very concerning outing for him.

He had major turnover problems during his two seasons with Temple, but they generally happened versus better defenses than Sam Houston State. He will look to get back on track Saturday versus Texas Southern.

Impact In his final game of the season, Warner threw for over 300 yards for the fourth time in his last five starts, and tossed two touchdowns for the sixth straight game. He finished the season with a very similar stat line to last season but with one fewer game. He took a step back in completion percentage (57.4 percent compared to 60.5 percent) but threw for more yards (3,076) and more touchdowns (23) with the same number of interceptions (12). He will look to take another step forward next season.

Impact Despite logging relatively few passes and two interceptions, Warner marked Saturday with at least 400 passing yards and four touchdowns, the second time he has done that in 2023. He has 2,143 passing yards and 16 touchdowns, both good enough for top five in the AAC this year. Within his top-five contemporaries, Warner is averaging 306.1 passing yards per game, the best among all of them. Having sat out some of October recovering from a concussion, Warner will be motivated to go off during November and stands an excellent chance at doing just that.
