Impact Svoboda's position switch is reportedly permanent. He'll no longer take snaps at quarterback. After a 2024 campaign that saw him toss for 1,308 yards, five touchdowns and eight interceptions while completing just 48.9 percent of his passes, that may be best for all parties involved. He'll join a tight end room that currently features John Michael Gyllenborg and Nick Miles, among others.

Impact Svoboda will get the start for the Cowboys Saturday with Kaden Anderson (undisclosed) out for the contest. The 6-foot-5 junior has appeared in all 11 games this season, totaling 1,102 passing yards (90-of-193), four touchdowns and seven interceptions, adding on 204 yards and five scores with his legs.

Impact It's been a tough season thus far for Svoboda, who's yet to complete more than 50 percent of his passes in a game. Overall, the junior's completed just 43.6 percent of his passes this year for 463 yards, two touchdowns and three interceptions. Wyoming will look for their first win of the season next week in their conference opener against Air Force.

Struggles continue vs. BYU Svoboda completed 14 of 32 passes for 140 yards and an interception during Saturday's 34-14 loss to Brigham Young. He also ran the ball 10 times for 32 yards with two touchdowns.

Impact Svoboda would salvage a decent outing from a fantasy perspective thanks to a pair of short-yardage touchdown runs. However, he struggled again through the air, completing just 43.8 percent of his passes. Through three games, the 6-foot-5 Svoboda has an ugly 42.3 percent completion percentage for 308 yards, one touchdown and three interceptions.

Another tough outing Svoboda was 10-for-24 passing for 126 yards and a touchdown during Saturday's 17-13 loss to Idaho. He also had 14 rushes for 45 yards.

Impact While Svoboda managed not to turn the ball over Saturday, the junior quarterback failed to get much going through the air in an eventual loss. Through two games, Svoboda's completed just 41 percent of his passes for 168 yards. While it's likely too soon to say the 6-foot-5 quarterback is at risk of losing the starting job, Jayden Clemons or Kaden Anderson could eventually get looks if Svoboda's struggles continue.
