Impact This is Bracey's first touchdown as an FBS receiver. The junior has eight catches through four games, and NMSU is also a particularly-bad team.

Tyrese Chambers - Gets back in form Chambers caught six passes for 72 yards and a touchdown Saturday against NMSU.

Impact After starting the season strongly, Chambers had only one catch for 17 yards last week. This is a return to form, and the Sacred Heart transfer had 1,074 yards and nine touchdowns last season.

Lexington Joseph - Catches long TD Joseph rushed 14 times for 80 yards and caught one pass for a 60-yard touchdown against NMSU on Saturday.

Impact Joseph does have two receiving touchdowns on the season, but he came into this game averaging 2.3 yards per carry. He's also been at FIU since 2019 and has all of one rushing touchdowns.

Grayson James - Has huge game James went 13-for-19 for 175 yards and three touchdowns against NMSU on Saturday. He also rushed 18 times for 43 yards.

Impact This is the most alive the FIU offense has looked all season. However, NMSU is one of the worst teams in the FBS, and 13 completions for 175 yards isn't exactly exciting either.

Gunnar Holmberg - Spotted in uniform Saturday Holmberg (undisclosed) was spotted during warmups prior to Saturday's contest against New Mexico State, according to Eric Henry of SBNation.com.

Impact Holmberg was spotted in the group of quarterbacks that will be available for the upcoming contest against New Mexico State, so there's a strong chance he will see the field at some point. Holmberg recently left the concussion protocol.

Impact This is the first game Jefferson played this season. He was the only FIU player with more than two catches or over 20 yards receiving.

Impact Joseph is perhaps the lead back for the Panthers, but he's also averaged 2.3 yards per carry across three games. There is nobody notable threatening to take his job, though.

Haden Carlson - Turns ball over twice Carlson saw time under center spelling Grayson James against WKU on Saturday. He went 6-for-13 for 39 yards and an interception and also lost a fumble.

Impact Florida International is a great choice for the worst team in the FBS, so nothing good is expected from its offense. Carlson got to play because it was a blowout and James struggled, but Carlson was even worse.

Impact Yes, it took James 23 passes to get to 85 yards through the air. He is the quarterback FIU considered its best option, which speaks to the bleakness of this situation. Haden Carlson got some time, but he did not impress either.
