Impact Kelly missed Saturday's 19-14 loss at the hands of UConn with an undisclosed injury. The junior wideout has recorded 82 receptions for 1,232 yards and four touchdowns across 25 games with Fresno State. It is unclear when Kelly will return to action, but his next opportunity will be Oct. 8, against Boise State.

Jake Haener - Remains week-to-week Haener (leg) will remain inactive for Saturday's showdown with Boise State, Jackson Moore of 247Sports.com reports.

Impact Haener is set to miss his second consecutive game after he was carted off the field, Sept. 17, against USC with a leg injury. The senior quarterback will remain week-to-week moving forward, and Logan Fife is expected to continue starting in his absence. Haener's next opportunity to return will be Oct. 15, against San Jose State.

Malik Sherrod - Lacks productivity Week 5 Sherrod rushed for 10 yards on two carries Saturday as Fresno State fell to Connecticut 19-14.

Impact Sherrod has had some games this season where he rushes for more than 40 yards and some games when he rushes for 10 yards or less, and the game against Connecticut was one of his less productive games of the season. The Bulldogs really could've used more yards from him, as Sherrod combined with Mims totaled 49 yards on the game.

Impact The Bulldogs scored just two touchdowns against the Trojans and Sherrod contributed one of them in the third quarter as a 32-yard run. After rushing for eight yards on two carries in the game prior against Oregon State, this was certainly an improvement. Sherrod has 124 yards on the season, but it would be of great help to Jordan Mims if he could rush for more than 47 yards against Connecticut on Saturday.

The sophomore completed his first 11 passes and put up an impressive 140 yards in a little over one quarter, but it was not enough to derail the Trojans. Fife will likely get a start against Connecticut on Saturday and will look to earn his first victory as a starter.
