Impact Kelly was impressive despite limited opportunities, highlighted by a 37-yard reception. He was one of Fresno State's starting receivers but the Bulldogs emptied the bench and used 11 different pass-catchers against the Huskies. Look for the target rotation to tighten up against Oregon.

Ty Jones - Scores in Fresno State debut Jones caught a nine-yard touchdown Saturday against Connecticut.
Impact It was a solid debut for the Washington transfer as he scored the Bulldogs' first touchdown of the season. Jones was one of 11 Bulldogs to catch passes, so the pecking order for targets is still being sorted and it's difficult to glean much from such a one-sided game. Jones will face a familiar foe Sept. 4 when Fresno State takes on Oregon.

Jalen Cropper - Long touchdown in opener Cropper had three catches for 87 yards and a touchdown Saturday against Connecticut.
Impact Most of Cropper's damage came on his 86-yard touchdown reception to help bust the game wide open. Fresno State was in control for the bulk of the game, leading by multiple scores, so Cropper did not receive his usual target share. Look for Cropper to be more involved next week against Oregon.

Ronnie Rivers - Fresno State's all-time TD leader Rivers had 13 carries for 58 yards and added two catches for 66 yards and a touchdown Saturday against Connecticut.
Impact Fresno State was in control for much of Saturday's game played in scorching conditions, so the Bulldogs did not need to give Rivers his usual heavy workload. Rivers still produced over 100 total yards, highlighted by a 61-yard touchdown reception that gave him the school's all-time record for touchdowns. Rivers figures to be more heavily featured next week against Oregon.

Haener went down in pain at the end of a run in the third quarter and was helped off the field. Impact Kelly reeled in 22 passes for 330 yards and a touchdown on 44 targets over six games last season and has apparently carried that role over into the 2021 campaign as well. He beat out Zane Pope for the starting job and figures to be a key part of a Fresno State offense that ranked 14th nationally last season in pass play percentage (55.74 percent).
