Impact Gilbert spent the large portion of last season away from the team for personal reasons. He switched to WR prior to the start of the campaign, but coach Smart admitted that Gilbert is a tight end and he should develop as such.

Ryland Goede - Sustains knee injury Goede (knee) suffered a knee injury in spring practices, Marc Weiszer of the Athens Banner-Herald reports.

Impact Goede, who has spent three seasons with Georgia, will once again be off to a slow post-season start. The 6-foot-6 junior has yet to record a catch for the Bulldogs and was on the field for just 71 snaps in 2021. The intensity of the injury has not been reported but Goede will progress through his second-straight offseason with an injury for Georgia.

Dominick Blaylock - Knocking off rust in spring Blaylock has been making progress in spring practice, Jordan D. Hill of 247Sports.com reports.

Impact Blaylock was limited in Georgia's 2021 campaign as he worked his way back from a second ACL injury in as many years. Georgia has many targets up for grabs following George Pickens' departure for the draft and Jermaine Burton's transfer to Alabama. Blaylock had the look of a future star as a freshman with five touchdowns and an 11.0 YPT mark on 28 targets in 2019. It remains to be seen whether Blaylock can fully recapture that form, but the sense is that he is working towards a role out of the slot in the offense this fall.
