James Graham - Moving to wideout Georgia Southern head coach Chad Lunsford said Thursday that Graham (personal) has made a full-time move to wide receiver ahead of training camp, Nathan Dominitz of the Savannah Mo... Impact After joining the program during the offseason as a transfer from Georgia Tech, Graham missed time in the spring due to a personal matter, but Lunsford's comments Thursday suggest that the rising redshirt junior will be ready to go for the start of the season. Though Georgia Southern is replacing longtime starting quarterback Shai Werts in 2021 and is lacking in experienced depth at the position, Graham apparently isn't viewed as a solution under center. Though he slid down Georgia Tech's depth chart in 2020, Graham directed the Yellow Jackets' triple-option offense over parts of three seasons, completing 94 of 207 attempts for 1,271 yards, 12 touchdowns and seven interceptions while rushing 110 times for 338 yards and three touchdowns. Graham's poor accuracy will apparently preclude him from factoring into Georgia Southern's quarterback competition, but his speed and athleticism could be enough for him to emerge as a consistent member of the Eagles' receiver rotation.
