Impact Hejny had missed each of the team's previous three games with an undisclosed injury but was able to make his return against the Jayhawks. Hejny has yet to attempt a pass on the season, primarily being used in the run game as a change-of-pace option. The freshman quarterback's next opportunity to make an impact will come against Houston next week.

Sits out Saturday Hejny (undisclosed) didn't play in TCU's 66-42 loss to SMU on Saturday, Steven Johnson of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports.

Impact Hejny was dressed and went through warmups prior to the game but ended up being unable to play. He will look to make his return to the field next week versus Kansas.

Impact Hejny, a true freshman, likely wasn't slated to see snaps barring an extreme blowout. Still, the TCU quarterback room will have slightly less depth for the next few weeks. Head coach Sonny Dykes said Hejny will be out "at least two weeks, maybe longer."
