Tylan Hines - Snags first touchdown Hines caught all three of his targets for 33 yards and a touchdown during Saturday's 27-24 loss to San Diego State.

Impact Hines tied the game 10-10 late in the second quarter with a 23-yard touchdown grab, his first of the year. The 5-foot-7 Hines set a season high with 33 receiving yards, though he's brought in three or more receptions in three of his last four contests. Hines, who shifted from running back to receiver in the offseason, now has 11 catches for 76 yards on the campaign. While Hawaii's receiver room is still fairly open behind Pofele Ashlock, the sophomore Hines still appears to be buried on the depth chart.

Impact Ashlock has been a model of consistency this season -- the wideout now has at least eight receptions and a touchdown in four straight contests. Overall, Ashlock is up to 40 catches for 428 yards five games into his sophomore campaign.

He accounted for Hawaii's lone touchdown Saturday with a five-yard grab in the third quarter. Ashlock is already up to 22 receptions for 277 yards and two scores to start the year.

Impact Schager has yet to put up the stat lines this season that we've come to expect from quarterbacks in Hawaii's air-raid offense. Saturday was the first time he passed the 250-yard mark in a game this year despite completing just 50 percent of his passes. Overall, Schager has a 53.4 completion percentage through three contests for 682 yards, four touchdowns and three interceptions. He'll look to get rolling next week against Northern Iowa.

Impact Schager led the Warriors to a surprising 10-0 lead at halftime, completing a 19-yard touchdown to Pofele Ashlock on his first drive of the game. However, he'd throw a couple of game-shifting interceptions later in the contest, opening the door for UCLA's comeback. After completing 63.2 percent of his passes for 3,542 yards last season, Schager now has 430 passing yards through his first two games this year.

Impact Ashlock has picked up where he left off in 2023, when he brought in 83 receptions for 832 yards and nine touchdowns as a freshman. The Texas-native already has 14 receptions on 27 targets through two games this season for 193 yards.
