Ife Adeyi - Rushes for TDAdeyi caught four passes for 32 yards versus Hawaii on Saturday. He also ran once for a 9-yard score.
ImpactAdeyi was a star for Sam Houston in 2021, but that was when it was still an FCS program. Last year, its first at the FBS level, he only played in eight games. As such, we are still waiting to see what Adeyi can do for the Bearkats when healthy.

Qua'Vez Humphreys - Catches two TDsHumphreys caught four passes for 106 yards and two touchdowns versus Hawaii on Saturday. He also rushed once for 10 yards.
ImpactHumphreys now has two games with over 90 yards and a touchdown, having seemingly emerged as the lead receiver for the Bearkats. That's good for him, but it has also seemingly had an impact on Noah Smith. Smith was the top receiver for SHSU last year, but has 19 receiving yards this season.

Jay Ducker - Finally able to get involvedDucker ran 15 times for 148 yards and had one catch for 10 yards Saturday versus Hawaii.
ImpactDucker impressed in a supporting role for Memphis in 2022, but then had to sit out the 2023 season with an injury. He transferred to Sam Houston, and then suffered an ankle injury in camp. While declared "ready to go" prior to the season, Ducker registered no carries the first two weeks. Now, he's racked up 148 yards against the Rainbow Warriors. Seems like he's healthy.

Hunter Watson - Bounces back versus HawaiiHunter went 15-for-23 for 165 yards, three touchdowns, and an interception against Hawaii on Saturday. He also ran 10 times for 45 yards.
ImpactAfter surprisingly winning the QB job for the Bearkats, Watson played well against Rice, and then really struggled against UCF. He rebounded against Hawaii, and notably no other quarterback registered any stats, so clearly Watson remains the guy under center.
