Brown of The Bryan-College Station Eagle re... Impact King emerged as the victor in the preseason battle with Zach Calzada for the right to replace longtime starter Kellen Mond under center. A second-year freshman, King saw only spot duty behind Mond during his first year in College Station, completing two of four attempts for 59 yards, one touchdown and one interception while rushing six times for 43 yards.
