ImpactBaldwin was neutralized by Houston with just 16 yards, his lowest output since not recording a catch in Week 3. He had been on fire the previous three weeks, so it was a surprise to see him have limited production against the Cougars. With Baylor's defense continuing to struggle, expect Baldwin to bounce back with an upcoming game at Kansas State.

ImpactShapen threw a pair of touchdown passes for the first time since Week 1 against Texas State. Baylor has struggled on both sides of the ball this season and will need to continue to chuck the ball around for the rest of the year. Shapen will likely be throwing with high volume against a good Kansas State squad next week.

ImpactBrown has at least nine catches in three different games this year and projects to be the team's number one receiver while Matthew Golden deals with an injury. Even with Golden in the line-up, Brown has been a force with 53 catches (on 81 targets) for 764 yards and three touchdowns. The senior receiver has a good shot at posting his first 1,000 yard season with three more regular season games. They'll go up against Cincinnati next week.

ImpactMathis' touchdown reception was the first in his career as he has hauled in just 20 catches in his 26 collegiate games. It was also his first score of the season. The West Virginia transfer has not had a big role in the offense to date. Maybe this score and the first conference win will lead to more work moving forward. Houston will play Cincinnati next week.
