Tommy DeVito - Eligibility waiver denied DeVito's confirmed Wednesday that the NCAA denied his request for a waiver for a seventh year of eligibility in 2023, Jeremy Werner of 247Sports.com reports.

Impact DeVito is thus in line to play his final collegiate game Monday, when Illinois takes on Mississippi State in the ReliaQuest Bowl. He enjoyed the best season of his career in his sixth year of school, and his only campaign in Illinois after he arrived as a transfer from Syracuse. In 12 games with the Illini, DeVito completed 69.9 percent of his passes for 2,397 yards, 15 touchdowns and four interceptions while adding five scores on the ground.
