Out for remainder of 2024 Jacobs is out for the remainder of UAB's 2024 season due to a foot injury, freelance writer Steve Irvine reports.

Impact Like in 2023, a season-ending injury will cut a promising Jacobs season short. But this time, the running back was unable to replicate his previous success, even though he fared relatively well with 41 carries for 162 yards. Jacobs is expected to have one year of collegiate eligibility remaining.

Impact Jacobs was unable ti play Saturday resulting in Lee Witherspoon seeing an uptick in playing time. Jacobs will try to return for next week's matchup versus Army.

Beebe lost two fumbles though, leaving the door open for Jacobs if he continues to struggle with ball security. Even though Beebe appears to be the team's No. 1 option, Jacobs clearly will have a sizable role in the offense as the season progresses.

Impact Jacobs appears to be the primary backup to Tayon Fleet-Davis despite being listed below Challen Faamatau on the depth chart. The sophomore looked good in his depth role and will likely have some value given the amount of touches he gets even when Fleet-Davis is in the game.
