Impact Smith had one target in Saturday's blowout win and he took it for 76 yards and a touchdown. It was his longest play of the year and gave him a season-high in yards. He finishes his first season with 17 catches (on 31 targets) for 296 yards and three touchdowns. He could find a bigger role in the offense next season after displaying his big play ability as a redshirt freshman.

Scores in Thursday's loss Smith tallied five receptions (on eight targets) for 64 yards and one touchdown during Thursday's 49-14 loss against East Carolina.

Impact Smith had easily his best game of the season Thursday as he set season highs in receptions, targets and yards, in addition to scoring his second touchdown of the season. After Cam Fancher (collarbone) leaving the game in the first quarter, Smith showed a clear connection with Kasen Weisman. With Fancher now ruled out for the season, Smith could see an increased role in the Owls' final three games.
