Packs on weight Lanam was reportedly 30 pounds heavier in spring than his listed weight, Drew King of the San Marcos Daily Record reports. Impact Lanam's 2020 season ended prematurely due to injury, leaving the Bobcats' relatively bare in terms of tight end depth. He has apparently packed on weight along with a few other tight ends, perhaps in an effort to be able to keep them on the field in the upcoming season. It was also reported that the team ran a lot of two-tight end sets in spring camp, so it's possible the offense is trending in a heavier set direction a bit for 2021, which could benefit Lanam.
