Impact Criswell has lost the fall camp quarterback battle with newly named starter, Drake Maye. The redshirt sophomore appeared in three games for UNC last season, throwing for 179 yards and a touchdown. Criswell will be the first man up barring poor performance or an injury to Maye.

Impact Criswell will know if he has earned the starting quarterback spot over Drake Maye on Monday, but until then he will have to continue battling hard. The junior has never started for the Tar Heels, and has appeared in seven games over the past two seasons and thrown a combined 16 completions for 195 yards and one touchdown.
